About

The idea of the patented Britton Square started back in 2010. While I had years of experience in many different fields, I was new to running my own remodeling business and was always searching for a faster and more efficient way to work.

I was the guy not wearing a big tool belt or work boots because it made me feel weighed down. My thought was to move as quickly as possible and carry less to be more productive.

I found myself frustrated at the traditional framing square, it was a great tool but not functional in the way I needed it to be, to do my job as efficiently as possible. Then I had an idea - to combine a torpedo level, square and bevel with its one of a kind pivoting arm… this could be the answer to my problems.

I’m a firm believer in tools that actually work and save time, the design was to not change the way traditional speed squares are used but to allow you to have another option that could be used in a different way for many other applications.

The Britton Square design took several years to perfect, prototype after prototype, built in-house and one hand tested by me to create the version you see today. With a total of 22 pieces and a story to tell for each one, it was was designed with passion and love for everyone to enjoy.
